Our nursery environment is thoughtfully designed to help your child explore, develop and thrive. Each of our Baby, Toddler and Preschool rooms has been carefully created with their specific stage of development in mind.
You will notice familiar, homely touches throughout such as bookcases, tables, chairs and sofas, all perfectly sized for little learners. These comforting features help children feel secure, confident and ready to explore.
We see the environment as your child’s third teacher, working alongside you as parents and us as educators to support their learning journey. From our carefully arranged indoor spaces to our outdoor classroom, every area is designed to spark curiosity, independence and imagination.
Consistency with Creativity
We keep many elements of our nursery environments consistent, knowing children flourish with familiarity and routine. Core resources, enriching toys, games and creative materials are always accessible, empowering children to follow their interests.
At the same time, parts of our nursery can transform into exciting adventure spaces where imaginations run free and learning comes alive through play.
Babies Environment
Our baby rooms provide a calm, nurturing space tailored to the rapid development of our youngest children.
There are cosy areas for cuddles and quiet moments, alongside open spaces that encourage rolling, sitting, crawling, standing and those first exciting steps. Carefully chosen toys and sensory activities support physical development, communication and early exploration.
Babies benefit from more space per child than older age groups, allowing them the freedom to master movement and build confidence in their interactions before progressing along their nursery journey.
Toddlers Environment
At around 24 months, children move into our Toddler rooms, a world full of possibility.
These spaces are designed to encourage independence and exploration. Toddlers are free to manipulate, investigate and master a wide range of toys, games and learning materials that challenge and inspire them.
This is also where children begin taking important steps towards self care. With potties, toilets and sinks within the room, they are gently supported and encouraged as they build confidence and independence.
You will see many familiar household features incorporated into the space. Toddlers naturally love to imitate the world around them, and our child sized versions allow them to safely practise real life skills in a way that is perfectly suited to their development.
Preschool Environment
From around three years old, children begin their enriching preschool journey with us.
The environment balances guided learning areas such as construction, home corner, book areas, and creative spaces for music and art with opportunities for independent exploration and group play.
These areas inspire imaginative role play, problem solving and collaboration. Children learn to explore friendships and feelings in a safe, supportive space, while also having quiet areas for rest and reflection.
Our preschool environment gently prepares children for school, supporting them as they work towards completing their Early Years Foundation Stage before moving confidently on to their next chapter.
Outdoor Spaces
We believe outdoor play is essential to children’s growth and wellbeing.
Our beautiful garden is designed with each age group in mind, allowing children to run, climb, explore and expend their energy safely. With age appropriate equipment and plenty of open space, children can investigate the natural world, develop physical skills and enjoy fresh air every day.
We truly see our outdoor area as an extension of the classroom, full of opportunities for discovery and hands on learning.
Enriching Experiences Beyond the Classroom
Marvin’s Kitchen
Marvin’s Kitchen is a child height mini kitchen where little ones build confidence and independence through hands on cooking and food preparation activities. Here, children develop practical life skills, communication, teamwork and an early understanding of healthy eating, all while having fun and taking pride in their creations.
Marvin’s Library
Our family focused borrowing library strengthens the connection between nursery and home. Children and parents can take books home to enjoy together, encouraging a love of reading, supporting language development and creating meaningful shared experiences that extend learning beyond the nursery day.
Soft Play Café and Mini Village
Our Soft Play Café is a unique additional space within our nursery. On selected days it is exclusively available to our nursery children, offering them a change of scene and new opportunities for play. Complete with their own mini village, this space encourages imaginative role play, social interaction and creative exploration. On open days the café also provides a warm, welcoming environment for families to connect, relax and create special memories together.
